The Henry Hub is the name given to the natural gas pipeline system in Erath, Louisiana, only 76 miles from the Monkey Island LNG site. Not only is it a major natural gas supply point for the company, but it is the physical settlement location selected by the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) Natural Gas Futures Contracts and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) OTC swaps contracts. The Henry Hub was selected decades ago by the NYMEX because it provides attractive natural gas liquidity, as well as, the capability to select the lowest price gas from up to 13 intrastate and interstate pipelines.
